The Importance of Drinking Sufficient Water Every Day for Health and Well-being
I was recently asked about the amount of water that you should drink a day. As what can be as much as 60% of our body comprises of water it makes sense that we need to keep it suitably topped up.
Drinking water can prevent dehydration, a condition that can cause unclear thinking, mood change, cause your body to overheat, and lead to other unpleasant and potentially serious physiological problems.
Getting enough water every day is important for your health and well-being.
Remember your body will need more water when you are:
- Working in hotter than .
- More physically active.
- If you take certain medication.
So it’d seem there is a simple calculation the amount of water (litres) you should drink a day = your weight (in kilograms) multiplied by 0.033. So, if you are 60kg (a little over 9 stone), you should drink about 2 litres of water every single day as a minimum whatever the temperature….
